Nutrition
Programs

SRB along with Broomfield Senior Services, believes everyone 60+ should be able to enjoy a nutritious meal at an affordable price. Our goal is to keep local older adults healthy and socially active.

Community
Services

SRB's Community Resources programs help to meet various needs for Broomfield's older adults. Our goal is to assist them in maintaining their independence, well-being, and safety.

Program
Grantors

SRB would not be able to provide vital services to Broomfield's older adults without the help of our generous grantors. We are grateful for their ongoing support of these programs

Nutrition Programs

Meals on Wheels Support Fund

Meals on Wheels provides nutritious home-delivered meals to Broomfield residents 60 and older who are either homebound or unable to prepare their own meals.

  • SRB provides assistance for those who qualify, by paying 50% or 100% of their meal fees.

Lakeshore Café Support Fund

SRB provides assistance for congregate lunches held at the Broomfield Community Center. This program helps many older adults enjoy a nutritious lunch while socializing with friends.

  • SRB provides assistance for those who qualify, by paying half or all of their meal fees.

Project Homecoming: Hospital Release and Recovery Program

Upon release from a local hospital, Broomfield residents 60 and older can receive 5 free meals through Meals on Wheels. This is a great way to let older adults try the Meals on Wheels program, at no cost, during a time when nutrition is most needed.

  • SRB pays for 5 free Meals on Wheels.

Healthy Hearts Lunch Sponsorship

Healthy Hearts lunches are the most popular lunches of the month. On average, eighty-five older adults enjoy this nutritious lunch, held twice a month, at a reduced rate of $2.00. The lunch is followed by an educational presentation by a Public Health Nutritionist.

  • SRB funds the first Wednesday of every month.

  • Broomfield Skilled Nursing funds the third Wednesday of every month.

Birthday Lunch Sponsorship

Lakeshore Café celebrates seniors’ birthdays on a monthly basis. For some, this is the only chance they get to celebrate their birthday.

  • SRB treats them to lunch and a special goodie bag.
