SRB Spotlight | July 2020

Bette Erickson

We are so excited to showcase our newest SRB Board Director, Bette Erickson.  She is going to be an amazing asset to SRB and we are honored to have her on our team.

Bette comes to the SRB Board after serving three non-consecutive terms on the Broomfield City Council, including two years as Mayor Pro Tem.

Bette moved to Broomfield shortly after graduating from college in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Bette and her (now deceased) husband, Paul Beaty, raised their son and daughter in Broomfield and hosted 12 foreign exchange students over the years.

A freelance writer and former public school teacher, Bette has authored six Colorado hiking books and has summited more than half of Colorado’s 58 “Fourteeners".  She is a past board member of the National League of Cities Institute for Youth, Education and Families (IYEF) Council, a Washington, DC advocacy organization.

Bette enjoys serving on the SRB Board because of its positive impact on not only the active adult community, but its influence in all aspects of Broomfield.
